the grass is always greener

Heard in the car, à la Only Daughter:

“I wish I could curl my hair so I could straighten it. That would be so cool.”

Tonight, after I cut 7″ of said hair off:

“Now that I look 14 can I have a later bedtime?”

As if.

14 year old haircut

More like time to lock her in her room and put bars on the windows.

Just sayin’.

Something tells me we haven’t heard the last of this topic! I can see a new category, Mothers and Daughters, appearing. I don’t think Teenagers will cover this relationship.
