Fatalist, Party of One

Big audition in the morning. If I win I will have all kinds of wonderful opportunities. But there’s the whole issue of proving myself in just a few minutes, and trying to keep all the crap in my head from getting in the way. Yesterday everything was going really well, today not so much.

So I’m having a day-long stressout, and decide to lay out on my deck for 5 minutes, and if no branches fall on me I’ll play in the morning.

The trees are beautiful in the late-afternoon light. The lower leaves are all these beautiful shades from deep moss to luminous green. The top leaves shimmer in the sunlight.

And it’s not a very windy day, so I guess I know what I’ll be doing tomorrow morning.
