I guess I could be really naive and ask what kind of religion sanctions such behavior, but we all know the answer to that question. (What WOULD Jesus do?)
I’ll just pose these puzzlers instead:
Person A’s right to free speech surpasses person B’s right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness?
Sticks and stones can break bones, but words will never hurt?
What’s wrong with these people?
Well, this is the state that passed the “Don’t Say Gay” bill, so it’s not surprising they’d further encourage people to put down anyone gay (or presumed to be gay). Constitutional rights appear to mean very little these days, and the further they erode, the more I worry for the future of the younger generations.
